Lapponia Jewelry, Helsinki
Lapponia Jewelry Oy was founded in 1960 under the name Kruunukoru by silversmith—and later master silversmith—Pekka Anttila (1931–1985). In 1963, Björn Weckström began creating a new aesthetic for the company’s jewelry, and the collection he designed launched a success story.
In the autumn of 1990, the artists associated with Lapponia Jewelry included Björn Weckström, Juhani Linnovaara, Poul Havgaard, Zoltán Popovits, and Christophe Burger; by the autumn of 2009, Pekka Hirvonen and Chao-Hsien Kuo had also joined the group.
In August 2005, Lapponia Jewelry was acquired by Kalevala jewelry
